Winter Wheat Response to Timing of Fungicide Application During the 2020–2021 Growing Season

چکیده
Foliar fungicides applied at the flag leaf stage can improve wheat grain yield in Kansas, but there is limited information on impact of earlier or combined applications fungicide yield. We conducted a field study six Kansas locations during 2020–2021 growing season to evaluate and test weight winter variety WB-Grainfield response different application timings. The trial was randomized complete block design with four replications (1) non-treated control; Topguard 5 ounces per acre (2) jointing, (3) heading; (4) jointing plus heading. two contrasting soil textures near Ashland Bottoms, previous crops resulting optimum- late-sowing dates Belleville, one location Hutchinson, another Manhattan. Statistical analysis indicated that for both weight, were significant timing by interactions, suggesting location-specific. Grain ranged from 28 bushels no treatment Manhattan 109.9 bu/a dual-fungicide Belleville sown optimum time. Depending environment, increase due as compared untreated control 0.7 8.0 application, -1.8 19.3 heading -1.4 17.7 dual application. weights 54.1 pounds bushel without trials 62.8 lb/bu Hutchinson Test benefits depended -0.1 1.7 -0.9 2.6 -0.3 3.9 This research an initial step determining foliar weight. results this suggest are substantial, however, magnitude environmental conditions experienced season.

متن کاملThe Response of Winter Wheat to Flooding
The effect of flooding can be a serious problem for wheat farmers, even at dry land condition. Amount of flooding damage depends on duration flooding, developmental stage, wheat type and variety. Therefore as a factorial experiment in randomized complete design based on winter bread wheat cultivars (Pishtaz, Marvdasht, Shiraz, Zarin, Shahriar, C-81-4, Sardari, Agosta seed, FGS and Azar2) at sta...
متن کاملIrrigated hard winter wheat response to fall, spring, and late season applied nitrogen
High yielding irrigated hard red winter wheat (HRW, Triticum aestivum L.) is frequently low in protein and marketed at a discount. Protein is affected by available nitrogen (N) but few published reports relate to N fertilization practices for producing high yielding irrigated hard red winter wheat with acceptable protein in arid environments. A three year study (1985–1987) was conducted (1) to ...
متن کاملStudy on the Spatial - Temporal Variability of Soil Nutrients during Winter Wheat Growth Season
The object of the study is to analyze the spatial-temporal variability of soil nutrients in the winter wheat growing season, and try to reveal the dynamic change of soil nutrients in winter wheat field. Measurements of soil nitrate nitrogen (NN), total nitrogen (TN) and available potassium (AK) in wheat field were taken at 132 sample points in April and June, 2006. Classical statistical method ...
